In winter 2003 I visited my cousin Christine Sakamoto and her family in Denver, Colorado. During those days I played a couple of times with her children Derek, Devin and Claire and with some kids from the neighbourhood the popular ball game FOUR SQUARE, also known as squareball, handball or boxball.

Some later I composed this little piece and dedicated it to Claire Sakamoto who played the piano. The musical structure follows the rules of the ball game.
